Position: Part-Time Finance Manager Company: System Design Evaluation (SDE)
Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Hours: 20 hours per week, office-based
System Design Evaluation (SDE), a leading provider of specialised consultancy for Defence and Environmental services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Finance Manager to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the financial management of a thriving organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and accurate accounts with ledgers as may be applicable.
- Conduct cash and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
- Knowledge of VAT Regulations and MTD
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
- Process invoices for receivables and payables accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to process and match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring efficient financial operations.
- Maintain and prepare accounts for review by Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director as required
Requirements:
- AAT Level 3 with at least 4 years experience
- Proficiency in SAGE 50 software is essential.
- Previous experience in a finance management role, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
